The Safety Bracket is designed to hold the branch line drops in place over the top of the cooking appliances for a pre-engineered fire suppression system.
This is to be installed up under the hood next to the branch line, it drops down about 5 inches with the drop piping and nozzle passing through the center hole, holding it in place. This helps prevent the appliance drops from being moved out of place from their specific position.
This will help ensure the nozzles are aimed where they are supposed to be in the case of a system discharge, and so able to extinguish the fire. Too often the nozzles are moved by cooks, kitchen staff, hood cleaners or even the inspectors.
